As the COVID-19 situations evolves in Ontario, we’ve implemented measures to protect our employees, their families, our clients, partners and the livelihood of our business operations. We are a service-based business, and it is vital we maintain a healthy workforce. During this period of uncertainty the goal of ILI remains the same; keep our employees and the public safe while providing essential services to the community.

Below are some answers to FAQs we’ve received during this time:

Q: Are you open and operating?

A: Yes, we are still performing commercial landscape management and landscape construction services as permitted by provincial and federal regulations, with several safety precautions in place.

Please do not visit our facility if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19. If you are visiting our shop in person, please wear a mask and follow all signage posted on entrances. Call your contact when you arrive or (905) 876-3000 to let us know you’ve arrived. 

Q: What steps have you taken to ensure your customers’ and employees’ safety?

A:  We have enacted the following protocols to protect employees/minimize exposure risk:

  • Providing staff with and wearing masks on job sites when working within six feet of others.
  • Office staff working from home as they are able (limited personnel in offices).
  • Allowing field staff to report directly to job sites where possible/desired.
  • Schedule flexibility to accommodate childcare requirements and distance learning.
  • Disinfecting trucks and high-traffic areas at least twice per day.
  • Assigning crew members to the same truck daily (no changing trucks/seats, no exposure to other crew members) as scheduling and attendance permits.
  • Provision of portable washrooms throughout our portfolio, accessible to staff only.
  • Staff complete daily self-assessments prior to arriving for work.
  • Numerous training sessions on sanitation and hygiene best-practices.

We are constantly communicating customers to determine their needs and comfort levels, and making adjustments as needed. If you have a special request or newly implemented guidelines we should be following for your property or job site, please let us know.

Q: Can you do video consultations and/or meetings for services I’m considering?

A: Our team will be happy to meet with you virtually on a number of platforms to discuss your needs.

Q: What is the best way to reach ILI?

A: As always, we are available to answer questions or address concerns whenever you need us. If you are a current client, the best way to reach us is to email or call your main ILI contact on their cell phone. If you do not yet have an ILI contact, you can call our main office line (905-876-3000) or contact us on our website, and someone will be in touch with you shortly.

Q: Are you still hiring during this time?

A: Yes! We are committed to hiring individuals who will grow themselves and the company while they work here.
